Ask.fm

Ask.fm is a question and answer site designed to allow users to post questions and receive answers from friends and strangers. Users are not required to supply a real name when joining the network, but are prompted (but not required) to supply personal details after joining. Many of the site’s 100 million users are teens.

The site’s Terms of Service clearly states that users must be 13 years of age, although this guideline is not enforced.

There are no privacy settings – all content is public. The site is a favorite of cyberbullies, and has been linked to numerous suicides.

We strongly recommend that parents prevent minors from joining this site.
