Google+ is a social network operated by Google. It is intended to be used as an identity service for individuals and businesses, and to connect users with friends, family and work associates. Google+ users set up a profile and use the service to post pictures or other content, communicate with friends or associates, form groups and forums called “hangouts”. Google+ officially prohibits content that is violent, sexually explicit, unlawful, hateful or bullying.
Especially with younger users, we recommend that user profile is set to private (only your friends can send you posts), and that teens do not accept friend requests from, or communicate with people that they do not know.
Since Google+ accounts are linked to YouTube and Gmail accounts, it is possible for users of one Google service to message other users directly on other services.
