Vine

Vine is a mobile app owned by Twitter that enables its users to create and post short looping video clips. Video clips created with Vine have a maximum clip length of seven seconds and can be shared to Vine's social network, or to other services such as Twitter and Facebook.

Below are some resources either direct from Vine’s site, or in some cases from third party articles discussing how to deal with a variety of issues that users and parents and users might find useful. The stated age limit for Vine is 17 years old, but because users can self-affirm their age, one can be sure that there are younger users. Since Vine content is intended to be shared on other social networks, there are not privacy settings as are found in other networks – that is, if a user shares a Vine clip on Twitter, his or her Twitter privacy settings would apply. As of March 2014, pornography and sexually explicit content are no longer permitted on Vine.

The maximum video clip length for Vine is six seconds. If Vine video clips are shared via Twitter, they can be found online at vine.co.
